Research Focus Areas: (Apply for Tata School of Social Work CRTP Fellowships on LGBTQ+ Health)
- Applicants with interest in the following LGBTQ+ health areas are especially encouraged. However, other
- LGBTQ+ health-related topics will be considered as well:
- LGBTQ+ Ageing and Mental Health
- Lesbian, Bisexual, and Queer Women – (in)visibility and mental health disparities
- LGBTQ+ couples and families – psychosocial issues and interventions
- Gender Affirmative Services – access, quality, experiences of Transgender and Gender Diverse Persons
- Mental Healthcare for LGBTQ+ communities – experiences of LGBTQ+ clients, access, quality
Duration: 3 years, Full-time
Fellowship (Individual Support) Amount: 70,000 per month
Additional Support: Limited funding for data collection and conference related travel (domestic)
Optional PhD pathway: Selected CRTP Fellows will have an opportunity to do their Ph.D. during the fellowship, although this is not mandatory.
Candidates willing to be admitted to the PhD program need to clear the PhD entrance examination conducted by
TISS every year.

- MBBS, BDS, MD/MDS and other medical postgraduate degree holders
- Research focus on LGBTQ+ health/ mental health
- No concurrent fellowships
- Willing to accept CRTP terms & conditions
- Indian citizens

Call for applications: Twice a year – June & December until the 3 positions are filled.
Application Process:
- Submit a brief bio sketch & research concept note (not exceeding 1000 words) to the email id given below.
- Screening by the CARET committee
- Shortlisted candidates present their proposal in an interview
- Final selection by panel (which may include a representative from DBT/ Wellcome Trust India Alliance)
