At SBI Foundation, we believe that every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment in which to grow, learn, and thrive.

In line with our commitment to child welfare, SBI Foundation is inviting proposals from credible and experienced non-profit organizations to implement transformative Child Development projects. These projects are envisioned to address the pressing needs of children in vulnerable situations, while laying a strong foundation for their future through early childhood care and protection.

We seek to collaborate with organizations that have demonstrated impact and a deep understanding of key child-centric domains. Specifically, we are looking for partners with expertise in:

• Managing and strengthening Child Care Institutions (CCIs)
• Designing and executing Early Childhood Development (ECD) initiatives
• Preventing and responding to Child Sexual Abuse (CSA)

Selected organizations will work closely with the Foundation across three core areas of intervention, each designed to safeguard children’s rights and promote their overall well-being. Through this partnership, we aim to amplify our collective impact and reach the children who need us the most.

Focus of Intervention and Funding Opportunity

(Application Open for SBI Foundation Child Development Projects Grant Opportunity 2025)

• The first intervention involves the adoption of Child Care Institutions for children in need of care and protection, including street-connected children, orphans, children of sex workers, victims of trafficking and child labor, and children in conflict with the law. The project budget ranges from 25 lakh to 2 crore, with a two-year implementation period. Preferred locations are Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.
• The second intervention focuses on early childhood care by creating Model Anganwadi Centers-cum-Creches (AWCCs) in underserved areas. Each project can receive funding of up to 2 crore for four AWCCs, with a two-year timeline. Preferred regions include Jharkhand, Odisha, and Telangana, particularly in informal work settings, rural areas lacking childcare, and urban slums.
• The third intervention aims to combat Child Sexual Abuse through awareness, counselling, and legal support. Projects under this category can receive up to ₹1 crore in funding, also with a two-year duration. Priority states are Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Madhya Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria (Application Open for SBI Foundation Child Development Projects Grant Opportunity 2025)

Eligible applicants must have a minimum of three years of relevant experience, depending on the intervention they are applying for. This includes experience in managing child care institutions, executing early childhood development programs, and addressing child sexual abuse issues. Organizations must also provide a self-declaration confirming non-discriminatory practices and affirm they are not blacklisted by any government or public agency.

All proposals must be submitted in English. The SBI Foundation is looking to partner with credible, experienced agencies committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment for children across India.
