Apply for Grants under Ecosystem Restoration in Turkana Kenya 2025, The World Food Programme (WFP) continues to play a vital role in Turkana County by advancing food security, strengthening community resilience, and supporting sustainable livelihoods. Through a combination of cash-based transfers, direct food assistance, climate-resilient food system development, and capacity-building initiatives, WFP empowers communities to manage natural resources effectively and sustainably.
As part of its broader strategy, WFP is establishing Climate-Resilient Food Systems (CRFS) Hubs in Turkana County. These hubs will drive ecosystem restoration efforts focused on rehabilitating degraded lands, enhancing soil and water conservation, and promoting climate-smart agricultural practices. The aim is to restore ecological balance, increase resilience to climate shocks, and provide alternative, sustainable livelihood options for communities heavily reliant on natural resources.
In line with its commitment to long-term sustainability and climate resilience, WFP is seeking to partner with a local organization for a 12-month project. This collaboration will support the implementation of ecosystem restoration activities in one ward located near refugee-hosting areas in Turkana West.
Eligible organizations are invited to apply for funding. Interested organizations are encouraged to review the complete details and submit their applications before the deadline.
