Momo Distribution Grant 2026 Apply Fast,  The Momo Distribution Grant, created in collaboration with C47 Investment, offers a S$1,000 award to support the festival journeys and distribution plans of emerging short filmmakers from Southeast Asia. The initiative is designed for directors who have produced short films—yet have not directed a feature—and whose projects are made in Southeast Asia, run under 30 minutes, and are set to premiere within the next eight months. Each year, only five short films are selected to receive this support.

• The awarded short film must have its world premiere within eight months from the date stated on the grant letter.
• Each recipient will receive S$1,000 in cash to support the film’s distribution. All awards are non-transferable.
• Funds will be released once the grant letter is signed.

Rules & Regulations for Momo Distribution Grant 2026 Apply Fast

1. The film’s director must be a Southeast Asian citizen of Southeast Asian descent.
2. Eligible directors must have made at least one short film but not yet directed a feature film.
3. The grant is not available to full-time students.
4. The film must be produced within Southeast Asia, defined as: Cambodia, East Timor, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
5. The submitted film must have a maximum runtime of 30 minutes.
6. A complete cut with English subtitles is required at the time of application.
7. The film must not have been screened prior to the grant submission.
8. All genres are welcome, including narrative, animation, documentary, and experimental
9. Applications must include:
   • Project Information
   • Director’s Bio & Filmography (with links to previous work)
   • Producer’s Bio & Filmography
   • Synopsis (max. one page)
   • Director’s Statement (max. one page)
   • Shooting Script
   • Audience Design Plan / Festival Strategy (max. two pages)
   • Distribution Budget
10. Grant funds will be disbursed upon signing the agreement.
11. Only five short films will be selected each year. All decisions are final.
12. The filmmaker retains full ownership of the short film supported by the Momo Distribution Grant.
13. Recipients must acknowledge support from the Momo Distribution Grant by including the provided logos in the film’s final credits.
14. Filmmakers must provide two tickets to the world premiere screening for the Donor.
15. Recipients may be invited to present their future feature film proposals to the Donor for possible investment consideration.

The Momo Distribution Fund was created to address a gap in the short film distribution landscape and to support emerging filmmakers from Southeast Asia. Each selected short film will receive a S$1,000 cash grant to support its distribution efforts.

All submitted materials must be in English. By submitting an application, applicants acknowledge that their materials may be reviewed by a committee of film professionals appointed by Momo Film Co as part of the selection and evaluation process.
