Introduction: Proposals Invited for Grants under CreativeACTIONs2 New Projects 2025 Zimbabwe, EU and Culture Fund Expand Support for Zimbabwean Artists with 8 New Grants – Focus on Disability Inclusion

The European Union, in collaboration with the Culture Fund, continues its commitment to empowering Zimbabwean creatives by awarding 8 additional grants under the CreativeACTIONs 2 initiative, with a strong emphasis on disability inclusion.

The 3rd Call for Proposals is now officially open, inviting Zimbabwean artists, cultural practitioners, and creative organizations to apply for funding.

Interested applicants are encouraged to thoroughly review the full guidelines and submit their proposals by the deadline: May 30, 2025.

Last Date of Submission: 30th May 2025

Grants Range: Lot 1 – Larger Grants: USD 11,000 to 60,000

Lot 2 – Smaller Grants: USD 1,000 to 10,000

Focus of (Proposals Invited for Grants under CreativeACTIONs2 New Projects 2025 Zimbabwe)

Special Focus: Policy Dialogue and Advocacy

Under its third result area, CreativeACTIONs 2 aims “to empower the Creative sector to participate in policy dialogue and advocacy in order to contribute to an enabling operating environment for the Cultural and Creative Industries strengthen capacities for creative civil society organizations and arts and culture practitioners in Zimbabwe.”

While a few projects have been supported under this result area, the 3rd Call for Proposals places a strong priority on initiatives focused on policy dialogue and advocacy initiatives. The Call therefore specifically encourages applications from competent, experienced, and well established institutions or organisations that have a deep understanding of policy processes and advocacy work.

Key considerations for proposals should reflect;

• Comprehension of Zimbabwean policies, lobbying, advocacy and dialogue relevant to the arts and culture sector
• Evidence of previous experience working closely to support Government programs and projects • Ability to promote and connect with Government departments in efforts which advance national policies for arts and culture
• Knowledge and skills to coordinate and collaborate with creative industries players, aiming to improve accessibility and promote diverse artistic and cultural expression
• Practical methodologies and approaches to engage with state and non-state actors in delivering policy and advocacy work

This 3rd Call will run for 45 days and offers the following funding opportunities:

• Lot 1 – Larger Grants: USD 11,000 to 60,000
• Lot 2 – Smaller Grants: USD 1,000 to 10,000

The call is open to individual creatives and creative organisations. Women, persons with disabilities and youth are strongly encouraged to apply and proposals that promote diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity are particularly welcomed.

Geographical Coverage (Proposals Invited for Grants under CreativeACTIONs2 New Projects 2025 Zimbabwe)

The projects are to be implemented anywhere in Zimbabwe. Creatives from all 10 provinces in Zimbabwe are encouraged to apply.
