Overview (Communications Officer NGO Job in Delhi Last Date 17 June 2025)

• Are you interested in social justice and working with others around the world? Do you care about ending injustice and supporting marginalised girls to realise their rights?
• Child Marriage Free World (CMFW), an exciting new global initiative aims to eliminate child marriage in every country in the world through mass community engagement and developing and enforcing new laws against child marriage that protects every child from adults that want to marry them.
• CMFW is recruiting for different positions in a new team to support the development of the campaign outside of India
• The CMFW Campaign and Communications Manager will provide the overall leadership of the new team and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience and a degree in a suitable subject is required.
• Please only apply if you meet the Experience and Education requirements. The team will be based in Delhi, India but other locations will be considered for strong candidates. Candidates must be able to travel internationally and be fluent in English with excellent communication skills. Fluency in French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic or lived experience in a French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic speaking country is an advantage. Part time applicants considered.

CMFW COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

• Child Marriage Free World (CMFW) is an exciting new campaign, aiming to eradicate child marriage around the world. Building on an innovative new approach in India that started in 2022, CMFW aims to support action against child marriage in communities all over the world.
• CMFW is a campaign delivered by Just Rights for Children. Just Rights for Children is a non-profit organisation registered in the United States. To grow the campaign outside of India, CMFW are recruiting a CMFW Communications Officer who will be part of a new team based in Delhi.

KEY FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES: (Communications Officer NGO Job in Delhi Last Date 17 June 2025)

• Manage and regularly update the CMFW campaign’s Websites and Social Media Accounts in English and with assistance of translation in French, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic
• Produce and edit video content for the campaign including subtitling in multiple languages
• Support the CMFW team and network in their communication materials including design, translation and written assistance when required
• Design communications systems to share and gather content from CMFW community and country champions worldwide
• Manage external relationships with translation and interpretation services for the campaign
• Distribute the campaign’s content in paid and earned media both offline and online
• Organise online webinars and events for the CMFW campaign
• Produce regular analysis and reports on the online and offline reach of the CMFW campaign ‘s communications
• Develop and maintain a content library for the campaign of photos, videos, survivor testimonies and case studies of change
• Any other task as assigned by the CMFW Global Co-ordinator

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: (Communications Officer NGO Job in Delhi Last Date 17 June 2025)

• University Degree in Communications or a related field (Essential)
• Professional communications experience (Essential)
• Experience of making communications materials in two or more languages (Essential)
• Experience of managing social media for an organisation or campaign (Essential)
• Experience working internationally in a French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic context (Desirable)

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: (Communications Officer NGO Job in Delhi Last Date 17 June 2025)

• Strong knowledge of Website development platforms (WordPress, Wix or equivalent) essential
• Strong Knowledge of running social media accounts for an organisation or campaign including strategic planning, posting, advertising and performance analysis (Essential)
• Strong knowledge of design software such as Canva, InDesign, Photoshop or equivalent (Essential)
• Knowledge of organising and streaming webinars and other online events (Essential)
• Excellent English written and verbal communications skills (Essential)
• Strong interpersonal skills and social values (Essential)
• Ability to advocate for children (Essential)
• Knowledge of children’s rights and women’s rights (Essential)
• Good Project Management and Time Management Skills (Essential)
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint (Essential)
• French, Spanish, Portuguese or Arabic written and verbal communication skills (Desirable)

DURATION: The post is offered on a 1-year rolling contract and is subject to a three-month probation period. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required, part-time applications considered.
