Hiring Organization: Progressive Foundation
The Block Coordinator will be responsible for on-ground planning, implementation, and monitoring of cervical and breast cancer screening and awareness activities at the block level. The role focuses on community mobilization, frontline worker support, screening logistics, and referral follow-up to improve early detection and continuity of care.

Block-Level Planning & Implementation
? Prepare and execute block-level micro-plans for screening and awareness activities.
? Coordinate with PHCs, CHCs, and Ayushman Arogya Mandirs (AAMs) for service delivery.
Screening Camp Coordination
? Organize and manage screening camps, including logistics for VIA, CBE, and outreach activities.
? Ensure availability of supplies, staff, and reporting tools.
Frontline Worker Support & Supervision
? Train, mentor, and support ASHAs, ANMs, and community volunteers for household counseling, risk assessment, and mobilization of eligible women (30+ years).
Referral & Follow-up Tracking
? Facilitate referral of screen-positive cases to higher facilities and track follow-up and treatment initiation.
? Aim for high referral completion and follow-up rates (80–90%).
Community Awareness & SBCC
? Conduct and support community meetings, SHG sessions, and IEC activities to address myths and stigma related to cancer.
Data Management & Reporting
? Maintain accurate records of screenings, beneficiaries, and referrals using digital tools (e.g., Kobo, ODK, Excel).
? Submit timely reports to the District Coordinator.
Local Coordination
? Coordinate with block-level officials (MOIC, BHM, CDPO) and community leaders to ensure smooth implementation.
Other Activities:
- Map eligible girls (9–14 years) and women in target areas.
? Train ASHAs and ANMs for household-level awareness and counseling.
? Conduct vaccination awareness sessions at HWCs and community platforms.
- Train ANMs, ASHAs, and AWWs on awareness, screening, and referrals.
- Provide on-ground handholding during VHSND sessions.
- Conduct vaccination drives at HWCs under qualified medical supervision.
? Ensure parental consent and clear communication on vaccine safety.
- Monitor coverage to ensure no eligible beneficiary is missed.
Qualifications & Experience for NGO Job in Gorakhpur Uttar Pradesh for Block Coordinator Apply By 17 March 2026
? Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, or related fields.
? Experience: 2–3 years of experience in primary healthcare, NCD programs, or community-based health interventions.
