About YCLC:
The Young Climate Leadership Curriculum (YCLC) is a school-based climate education and leadership initiative implemented in government secondary schools. The program aims to build climate awareness, leadership skills, and community action among adolescents.
The project will be implemented across 3 districts in 3 states:
Jaipur district, Rajasthan – 50 schools
Dholera district, Gujarat – 25 schools
Koppal district, Karnataka (tentative) – 25 schools
A total of 100 government schools will be covered under this initiative.

Role Overview:
The Project Manager – YCLC will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of the Young Climate Leadership Curriculum across all three geographies. The role involves close coordination with project coordinators, climate fellows, strategy leads, and government
stakeholders to ensure high-quality and timely implementation.

Key Responsibilities
Program Management & Implementation
-
Oversee end-to-end implementation of the YCLC across 100 government schools.
• Ensure alignment with approved implementation plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Monitor progress and address operational and programmatic challenges.Team Coordination
-
Coordinate closely with Project Coordinators (1 per 25 schools) and Climate Fellows
delivering YCLC in schools.
• Work with the Strategy Lead (Climate Education & Training) to ensure curriculum fidelity
and effective facilitation.
• Support training, mentoring, and performance tracking of field teams.Advocacy & Government Liaison

Lead district- and state-level advocacy related to climate education and YCLC.
• Build and maintain relationships with education departments, district officials, and school leadership.
• Support local and state level advocacy events
• Represent the organization in official meetings, reviews, and advocacy events.Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation

Oversee baseline, monitoring, and end-line assessments.
• Ensure timely preparation of progress reports, donor updates, and final project documentation.
• Coordinate with finance and operations teams to ensure compliance with reporting and
grant requirements.Qualifications & Experience
-
Postgraduate degree in Education, Environmental Studies, Social Work, Development
Studies, Public Policy, or related fields.
• 5 years or more of experience in program management within education, climate, or
development sectors.
• Experience working with government schools and public systems.
• Proven ability to manage multi-location, field-based programs and teams.Key Skills & Competencies
• Passionate about working towards climate change
• Strong program planning and coordination skills
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and advocacy
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Willingness to travel across project locationsCompensation: Rs 50,000 per month
