Special Educator – Job Profile in CCI
- Assess the educational and developmental needs of children with special needs.
- Prepare Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) according to each child’s needs.
- Provide special education, remedial teaching, and learning support.
- Support children with learning difficulties, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, autism, etc.
- Conduct individual and group educational activities.
- Help children improve communication, social, cognitive, and functional skills.
- Coordinate with the Child Welfare Officer, counsellor, case worker, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
- Maintain individual records, assessment reports, progress reports, and educational documentation.
- Monitor and document each child’s progress regularly.
- Assist children in developing daily living and independent-living skills.
- Use appropriate teaching-learning materials and child-friendly methods.
- Coordinate with schools and educational institutions regarding children’s educational needs.
- Participate in Individual Care Plan (ICP) preparation and review.
- Provide guidance to caregivers on appropriate educational support.
- Refer children for specialist assessment or intervention when required.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, respectful, and child-friendly learning environment.
- Participate in CCI activities, meetings, training programmes, and case conferences.
