Primary Responsibilities (Qualitative Research Consultant NGO Job in Pune Apply by 31 May 2025)
Responsible for assisting and administering qualitative component of clinical research protocols as assigned, with duties including but not limited to the following:
- Conduct multiple in-depth interviews per protocol requirements
- Meet participants at their clinic, or other convenient location in Pune and PCMC.
- Responsible for transcribing and translating qualitative research data
- Prepare coding guide and code the qualitative data in software preferably MAXQDA
- Organize data (notes, audio files, transcribed and translated files) as per the coding guide
- Analyze qualitative data and write summaries from code retrievals
- Generate summary reports from qualitative data for study meetings
- To meet deadlines, identify and resolve problems and handle competing study demands

- As assigned by Principal Investigator and Study Coordinator for assigned study.
Reports to:
- Johns Hopkins Private Limited (JHIPL) Deputy Director and Study Coordinator for assigned study.
Skills & Qualifications: Qualitative Research Consultant NGO Job in Pune Apply by 31 May 2025
- Master’s in psychology or Sociology or Anthropology, Ph.D. is preferable.
- One to two years of experience in a professional position as a social researcher.
- Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated and analytical personality, familiarity with qualitative data analysis software (MAXQDA).
- Should be a good listener and have the ability to develop a quick rapport with study participants.
- Have sound knowledge of social science theories.
- Excellent writing and communication skills in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
- Familiarity with infectious and non-infectious diseases, including tuberculosis, HIV and alcohol problem preferred.
