Job Description for Program Manager Job Vacancy in NGO December 2024
Position Title: Program Manager
- Location: Various Geographies of Indian states (with frequent travel to telemedicine centres)
- Commitment: Minimum of 2-3 years
- Reports to Senior Management
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Design & Implementation: Lead the execution of multiple health-focused programs, including telemedicine, community health outreach, and health camps. Ensure all projects align with DigiSwasthya’s vision of increasing healthcare access in underserved rural communities.
- Government Liaison & Partnership Building: Act as the primary liaison with government health departments and other key stakeholders to secure partnerships, ensure compliance, and navigate public health policies for smooth project execution.
- Capacity Building & Team Leadership: Develop and lead training initiatives to enhance the technical and operational capacity of telemedicine centre staff, including Patient Navigators, nurses, and community health mobilizers. Guide and mentor your team to achieve program objectives while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Field Operations & Telemedicine Oversight: Conduct regular field visits to DigiSwasthya’s telemedicine centres, ensuring high-quality service delivery, optimal patient care, and seamless integration of telemedicine technology. Drive innovation in service delivery by identifying gaps in healthcare services and implementing corrective measures.
- Community Health Outreach: Design and manage community outreach programs that raise health awareness, increase patient engagement and address local healthcare challenges. Work closely with community leaders to ensure culturally sensitive programs address real community needs.
- Monitoring, Reporting, & Impact Measurement: Oversee data collection, program monitoring, and impact assessment. Provide regular, insightful reports to senior management, donors, and government partners. Ensure all program activities are documented, evaluated, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Strategic Development & New Initiatives: Contribute to the design of new health interventions and pilot projects that address the unique challenges of rural healthcare, with a special focus on leveraging telemedicine.
Qualification Required for Program Manager Job Vacancy in NGO December 2024
Education: Master’s in Social Work (MSW) or a relevant degree in the development or health sector.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing health-related projects, preferably in rural or low-resource settings.
- Proven experience working with government health departments (mandatory).
- Previous experience in telemedicine or healthcare technology projects (preferable).
Hands-on experience in community health outreach and awareness campaigns.
Skills & Competencies:
