About the Fellowship (Fully Funded AstraZeneca Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship 2025)
AstraZeneca’s Young Health Programme (YHP) Impact Fellowship is designed to support young advocates who are working to drive change in health equity within their communities. This prestigious fellowship offers funding, learning and development opportunities, and participation in the One Young World Summit. Selected fellows will receive the following benefits:
- A fully-funded One Young World Scholarship to attend the 2025 Summit in Munich, Germany.
- A US $10,000 grant (or US $50,000 if chosen as a Lead2030 Challenge winner) to implement a project through their eligible non-profit organisation.
- Exclusive leadership development opportunities to enhance both professional and personal growth.

The YHP Impact Fellowship is open to young leaders from around the world who are committed to health advocacy in at least one of the following focus areas:
Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Prevention
Young leaders working to prevent NCDs among youth by promoting policies that enable healthy lifestyles, with a focus on inclusivity and accessibility. Key areas of focus include:
- Nutrition
- Tobacco & Alcohol Control
- Physical Activity
- Air Quality Improvement
- Rare Disease Advocacy
Fellows advocating for equitable access to care and policy changes to improve outcomes for individuals living with rare diseases.

- Participation in the 2025 One Young World Summit and its Ambassador Network.

Access to Development

- Each Fellow will receive a US $10,000 grant to implement a community-based youth health project.

AstraZeneca recognises the urgent need to shift from reactive healthcare to proactive health prevention. Through prioritising health education, literacy, and empowerment, the YHP works towards ensuring equitable health outcomes for all. Operating in over 40 countries, the programme combines community initiatives, research, advocacy, and leadership development to address the most common non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including:

- Respiratory Diseases
Since 2016, AstraZeneca has partnered with One Young World to identify and empower young leaders who are committed to advancing youth health advocacy.
Achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (Fully Funded AstraZeneca Young Health Programme Impact Fellowship 2025)
The Young Health Programme (YHP) supports the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal Target 3.4, striving to reduce premature deaths from non-communicable diseases (NCDs) by one-third by 2030.
