Mina Swaminathan Media Fellowship 2026 Apply Now, The 5th edition of the Mina Swaminathan Media Fellowship (2026) aims to support and inspire journalists to create meaningful, in-depth stories on gender and grassroots issues, with a special emphasis on the International Year of the Woman Farmer (IYWF).

The fellowship is open to both full-time and freelance journalists working in print, television, or digital media, in any of the following languages: Tamil, Malayalam, Odia, Hindi, and Marathi.

This four-month fellowship provides:

  • a grant of ₹60,000
  • mentorship from MSSRF experts and field researchers
  • immersive engagement with rural communities
  • assistance in translating selected work into English for wider reach
  • opportunities to interact with policymakers, helping amplify the impact of published stories
