CIPT is implementing a HUF supported program, Building a Water-Efficient Agriculture Model across Punjab. The program aims to address the problem of over-exploitation, inefficient use of groundwater resources, and stagnating farm incomes in Punjab agriculture. The project focus on expanding outreach, knowledge building and promoting large-scale water use efficiency interventions across 12 districts covering around 4.5 lakh farmers.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Field Operations Manager to lead the on-ground implementation of a major water-efficiency agriculture program in Punjab. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing field operations across 6 districts, ensuring timely, efficient, and effective delivery of program components in line with the seasonal work plan.
The Manager will oversee a Punjab’s regional team including Project Coordinators, Field Supervisors, and Field Cadres, and will be accountable for detailed planning, execution, supervision, and achievement of program milestones and KPIs. The ideal candidate will bring strong team leadership, agricultural program experience, and a commitment to sustainable agriculture development.
The position is based in Ludhiana and requires extensive field travel across the program districts.

- Lead planning, coordination, and execution of field-level activities as per seasonal and monthly plans
- Supervise and support a team of Project Coordinators, Field Supervisors, and Field Cadres across all districts
- Ensure timely implementation of farmer trainings, demonstrations, data collection, and adoption tracking
- Monitor field progress, ensure quality of implementation, and submit monthly progress updates
- Build partnerships with government agencies, cooperatives, academic institutions, and farmer groups
- Guide capacity building efforts for field teams and ensure high staff performance
- Drive farmer outreach and saturation targets in the assigned areas.

- Master’s in Agriculture, Water Management, Agriculture Economics, Rural Development, or related fields
- 8–10 years of experience managing large-scale agricultural or water-based programs
- Proven ability to lead diverse field teams, manage operations, and deliver on timelines
- Strong skills in planning, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder coordination
- Familiarity with Punjab’s agricultural context is essential
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking Punjabi
Duration & Location: Initial contract of 1 year, renewable based on performance and requires extensive field travel across the program districts.
